Road Travel
If you have your own transportation and especially if you are a first timer to travel to Cameron Highlands strongly recommended be extra careful & use low gear when you're driving your own transportation to Cameron Highlands. There are many trucks and buses on the roads along the ways. Especially if you are going to Cameron Highlands from Tapah. Normally the local trucks and buses will give you signal to overtake when it is safe enough.

Avoid travelling alone at night if you are not an expert in driving especially for first timer. And please take note that there are no street light all along the way and it might be a long drive and there is very limited mobile phone coverage.

Try to drive your car within your skill limitation, always in low gear because that will help you to negotiate corners better.
